How University of Toronto’s MD Program Improved Leave Management with PurelyHR

The University of Toronto’s MD Program needed a better way to manage leave for about 70 staff after its SAP-based setup became unwieldy and time-off tracking felt “impossible.” They turned to PurelyHR and its Time-Off module to simplify leave management across both administrative offices and clinical program tutors.

With PurelyHR, the MD Program gained clearer transparency into leave balances, configurable reporting for pending requests and month-end summaries, and a shared leave calendar showing who is in or out. Since implementing PurelyHR in 2013, the team has reduced time-off disputes, improved communication and staffing visibility, and eliminated much of the manual burden around approvals and policy enforcement.
