A PurelyHR Case Study
Indigenous Perspectives Society, a nonprofit social enterprise in Victoria, BC, needed a better way to manage staff leave and overtime. Before using PurelyHR’s Time-Off and Staff modules, Carol Itakura and her team relied on paper sheets, manual calculations, and follow-up emails, which made tracking balances time-consuming and left supervisors with little visibility into who was out of the office.
With PurelyHR, Indigenous Perspectives Society moved to automated leave tracking, a shared color-coded calendar, balance projections, and built-in reporting that simplified approvals and end-of-year administration. The result was hours saved each week, fewer manual calculations, and much better transparency for staff and supervisors, with Carol praising PurelyHR’s ease of use and responsive support.
