Marketing Cheshire, the agency responsible for promoting tourism in Cheshire and Chester, needed a better way to tailor content to a diverse audience while proving the value of its marketing activity. As public funding declined, the team also needed to generate revenue, grow its database organically, and improve engagement with visitors and partners. Using Pure360 Viral Promotions, Marketing Cheshire ran competitions and ticket offers to grow its list and capture visitor preferences, while the Preference Centre enabled more relevant segmentation and targeting. The results were strong: campaigns consistently generated 1,200–1,300 new subscribers, with one promotion producing almost 2,000 registrations, and the organisation now has more than 63,000 opted-in subscribers acquired organically.
