Emmelibri is an Italian holding that runs a large book-distribution ecosystem — from wholesale and retail to the largest Italian book e‑commerce and a comprehensive books-in-print database — and manages over 600 virtual machines for its subsidiaries. Faced with high data-center costs and legacy storage that prevented full virtualization and consistent performance, the company needed a more powerful, reliable and easy-to-manage storage solution.

Emmelibri deployed Pure Storage FlashArrays with Pure1 management and Evergreen upgrades, migrating 120 TB in three weeks and running two arrays in replication to support all workloads. The result: 2–8x faster processing for key applications, 6:1 data deduplication, up to 50% faster batch jobs, 95% virtualization, an 80% drop in storage management hours, significantly lower operating costs, a much smaller rack footprint and freed IT resources to focus on higher‑value projects.
