Case Study: Texas Peak (Australian retailer) achieves 10x faster storage performance and seamless scalability with Pure Storage

A Pure Storage Case Study

Preview of the Texas Peak Case Study

Texas Peak Turns to Pure Storage for Rapid Expansion

Texas Peak, an Australian clothing and footwear wholesaler and retailer founded in 1993 (distributing brands like Brooks and Diesel), was rapidly expanding into new retail stores and online sales. Its legacy storage grew from 30% to nearly 100% utilization in five years and could not support projected 10–15% annual growth, so the company needed a scalable, stable, high-performance storage solution.

Texas Peak deployed a Pure Storage FlashArray through partner Southern Cross, replacing a 4TB usable disk system with 1.45TB of flash that presents over 7TB to systems. Deployment was quick and non-disruptive; the array now supports Exchange, Oracle, VDI and retail systems, delivers consistent sub-millisecond latency (10x improvement), enables concurrent restore-and-test without performance loss, reduced backup/reporting times, and has proved highly reliable with no ongoing maintenance.
