Telehouse Ramps Up Its Cloud Offering with Pure Storage

Telehouse, a global data-center provider operating 48 facilities and a major French Internet hub, needed to scale its IaaS cloud offering but found legacy mixed-storage systems hitting limits in IOPS, bandwidth and admin complexity while consuming excessive power and rack space. The company sought an all‑flash solution to improve performance, simplify management and reduce energy and footprint.

After testing, Telehouse deployed Pure Storage all‑flash arrays, which were live within days and simplified operations so teams can provision storage in four clicks and manage 700 migrated VMs. The switch nearly tripled IOPS to 21,000, boosted bandwidth from 1 Gb/s to 4 Gb/s, cut latency from ~3 ms to 0.3–0.5 ms, reduced energy use by 75% and shrank rack space from 28U to 4U, enabling easier expansion and ongoing upgrades through Pure’s Evergreen program.
