POP Teams with Pure Storage to Boost the Creative Process

POP is a Seattle-based full-service marketing agency that supports clients such as Microsoft, Starbucks, VMware and Target. Faced with intensifying deadlines, data‑intensive creative workloads (including 4K/360° video stitching), a growing remote workforce and a small IT staff, POP found its legacy storage couldn’t deliver the performance, scalability or ease of management needed for an expanding VMware/VDI environment.

POP adopted a multi-tier storage approach and deployed a Pure Storage all‑flash array to host high‑performance needs (about 600 VMs and VDI users). The result was dramatic: 360° video processing went from ~10 minutes per frame to roughly 3 frames per second, VDI and code compilation became noticeably faster, administration was simplified, native encryption and high data‑reduction ratios (≈8.5–10:1 VDI, ~6:1 overall) improved TCO, and the agency gained the scalability and responsiveness to boost creativity and productivity.
