Owentis Improves the Quality of its Web-Hosting Services with Pure Storage

Owentis, a French hosting and cloud division of the Ozitem Group, was growing rapidly but constrained by legacy hard‑disk storage: rising data volumes and high latencies were degrading web‑hosting performance for key customers and licensing costs for storage features threatened service competitiveness. The company needed a faster, more efficient storage platform to preserve user experience and expand offerings.

Owentis installed Pure Storage all‑flash arrays—an easy, half‑day deployment—and saw latencies fall from about 2–3 ms to 0.2–0.3 ms (around a 90% reduction), IOPS jump from 20,000 to 70,000, and data reduction exceed 3:1. The result is noticeably faster website responsiveness, lower operating costs, greater storage density and scalability, plans to migrate all VMware servers to Pure, and simpler management backed by proactive Pure1 support.
