A Pure Storage Case Study
Mascot is a family‑owned Danish workwear company with about 100 million euros in annual sales and one of Europe’s largest inventories (three million products across 17,000 line items). Its heavily customised, in‑house SAP landscape — running about 100 virtual servers — was being held back by failing SSD storage originally from Texas Memory Systems (later acquired by IBM), causing system outages, runtime errors and insufficient support for its ERP and supply‑chain operations across multiple countries.
Mascot replaced the ageing arrays with two Pure Storage FA‑420 all‑flash arrays, gaining built‑in redundancy, 24‑hour proactive support, fast deployment and Evergreen upgrades. The result was immediate, reliable performance with no breakdowns or runtime errors, simpler capacity expansion, lower maintenance overheads and measurable cost and operational benefits that let IT focus on development rather than firefighting.
