LG CNS Adopts FlashArray for a Large-Scale VDI Deployment

LG CNS, a leading South Korean IT services provider, deployed one of the country’s largest virtual desktop infrastructures—about 10,000 seats—to support employees, customers and partners. Facing potential end-user performance degradation and storage capacity challenges, the company evaluated multiple vendors to find a high‑performance, reliable storage solution for its large-scale VDI.

After benchmarking and proof-of-concept trials, LG CNS implemented Pure Storage FlashArray all‑flash storage, leveraging built-in real-time deduplication/compression, thin provisioning, snapshots and remote replication, plus Evergreen upgrades. The deployment improved VDI responsiveness and employee productivity, stabilized workloads, enhanced data security and reliability, lowered storage costs, and significantly reduced capacity needs (reported dedupe/compression up to 6:1 and roughly a 50% reduction in required capacity).
