Kiabi Races Against Time To Deliver The Best User Experience With Pure Storage

Kiabi, a major French apparel retailer with 7,500 employees, 450 stores and an e-commerce presence in 32 countries, faced a critical performance problem: its new Informatica/Oracle customer database’s daily batch process was taking more than 24 hours on legacy disk storage, jeopardizing a planned go‑live and preventing use of I/O‑intensive applications.

Kiabi deployed Pure Storage FlashArray 420s in both data centers, plugging in all‑flash storage with no server changes or tuning; batch jobs fell from 24 hours to four hours (an average 5x performance gain, one job 6x faster), management was simplified, data reduction ran about 4:1, reliability proved strong, and Kiabi plans to migrate additional databases to Pure Storage.
