Keelings Feasts on Multiple Benefits with Pure Storage

Keelings, a Dublin-based multinational fresh-produce supplier with about 2,400 employees and a global footprint, was struggling with a nine-year-old spinning-disk SAN that had reached end of life. The ageing storage was at capacity and caused slowdowns and interruptions across email, accounting, Microsoft SQL Server and ERP systems, with maintenance and resynchronisation taking days and limiting the IT team's ability to scale.

Keelings deployed two Pure Storage //m20 all-flash arrays under the Evergreen® model and migrated its VMware virtual server infrastructure with zero downtime. The solution delivered much higher IOPS (≈1.3K average, 3.84K peak), sharply reduced latency, 2.6:1 data reduction and faster SQL and remote-desktop responsiveness, while cutting storage administration (about one working day saved per month) through proactive remote support and non-disruptive upgrades, giving the company a future-proof platform for the coming years.
