Joint Systems Delivers High Performance for a Good Cause with Pure Storage

Joint Systems is an international IT and fundraising‑services company (about 700 users across 25 locations) that found its hard‑disk storage unable to support a migration to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Increasing read/write demand on large databases caused high latencies, long background jobs and snapshots, and excessive time spent on storage administration—creating a serious performance bottleneck for business‑critical applications.

Working with Bechtle, Joint Systems implemented a Pure Storage FlashArray//m20 (40 TB) all‑flash solution with Evergreen upgrades and inline data reduction. The move eliminated the performance problems, cut snapshot time to one‑sixth, delivered ~200 MB/s BI throughput, shortened overnight jobs, reduced power use from 12 to 10 kW (≈17%) and rack footprint to 75%, and provided significant data‑reduction headroom so IT can focus on developing the fundraising system.
