A Pure Storage Case Study
Hometrack Australia, a residential property market specialist trusted by major banks, experienced rapid growth that tripled its data volumes and doubled the business in 12 months. Its legacy disk-based storage became a performance bottleneck—causing high latency and threatening application response times—so the company needed a scalable, high-performing and secure storage solution to support VMware and SQL Server workloads and sustain expansion.
After a successful trial, Hometrack deployed Pure Storage FlashArray//m20 systems; the rollout was seamless and migrated all virtual machines and databases onto the arrays. Results included virtual machines and data services running twice as fast, real-time query latency halved from 300ms to 150ms, data reduction ratios of 4.7:1, 4.4:1 and 3.2:1 across arrays, reduced admin overhead, always-on encryption and proactive monitoring—and the Evergreen model promises multiyear cost savings while enabling continued growth.
