Avago Technologies, a top-10 global semiconductor supplier with roughly $4.3B in revenue and 8,500 employees, experienced rapid organic and acquisition-driven growth that outpaced its legacy disk storage. The company faced constrained capacity (30 TB often at 80–90% utilization), high latency and slow report generation, so it ran a POC to find a cost-effective, flexible and scalable storage solution.

Avago deployed Pure Storage FlashArray FA-420 in a phased rollout across three datacenters; setup took under a day and migrations fewer than five days. The all-flash solution reduced hardware from five racks to one per site, doubled effective data capacity through inline deduplication and compression, delivered sub-millisecond performance that halved report times, enabled non‑disruptive maintenance and automated protection, and cut space, power and operational overhead.
