ASE Global, a Manchester‑based automotive marketplace profitability specialist serving brands like Porsche, Audi and General Motors, runs a global SaaS analytics platform (RAPID) that aggregates data from over 17,000 dealers. The company’s Microsoft/SQL Server environment on Dell Compellent hard disks was reaching performance and latency limits, slowing report delivery and impacting its ability to give clients timely operational and strategic insight.

ASE deployed a Pure Storage FlashArray//m50 (40TB) and migrated over two months, running virtualized SQL and data‑warehousing workloads and adopting Veeam for backups. The move delivered much higher IOPS, a 4.9:1 data reduction ratio, faster backups, and reduced management overhead—consolidating four racks to one, freeing the small infrastructure team for strategic work, and enabling quicker, more frequent insights for automotive clients with plans to expand to VDI.
