International Association of Ironworkers - Customer Case Study

The International Association of Ironworkers (IAI) faced significant operational challenges due to its collection of costly, disconnected legacy software applications. These systems, which ran critical business processes, relied on manual work, lacked functionality, and were complex to manage. To address this, IAI engaged vendor Pumex Computing for a complete redevelopment and modernization of its application and database architecture.

Pumex Computing implemented an agile solution that included redesigning the database schema, rebuilding the codebase with modern best practices, and migrating the systems to Microsoft Azure. The immediate results included a new self-service member portal for improved efficiency and a fully modernized, integrated platform. The project's long-term goal was to ensure a smooth organizational onboarding process with a phased rollout that would minimize productivity issues for the union's employees.
