Menta Network, a Mexico City–based performance assurance and monitoring firm, needed a way to spin up, scale and tear down cloud environments quickly for managed load testing of retail clients during peak sales events. After evaluating options, Menta Network chose Pulumi as their Infrastructure as Code solution—used together with Amazon Web Services and integrated into their GitLab CI/CD pipeline—to allow engineers to define infrastructure in Python and manage unique, per-customer test configurations.

Using Pulumi to provision AWS resources (EC2, CloudWatch, VPC networking, Lambda, etc.) allowed Menta Network to automate scalable load-test clusters and KPI delivery pipelines, fit neatly into existing GitLab workflows, and be adopted by an engineer in just days. The Pulumi-based solution reduced operating costs by 60%, sped delivery and feature rollout, and lowered the operational burden of managing many client environments.
