The Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) faced the challenge of modernizing its paper-based pension administration system for over 360,000 members and pensioners. Seeking to become more efficient and cost-effective, the agency partnered with Pulsion Technology to develop a bespoke web service.

Pulsion implemented a secure, two-phased online portal system built with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server on AWS. This solution allowed users to access their pension documents securely, which dramatically improved the customer experience. The project resulted in significant savings for the SPPA by drastically reducing printing and postage overhead costs and achieved a high level of customer satisfaction.
