A Pulseway Case Study
Convergint Technologies, a global service‑based integrator of Electronic Security, Fire Alarm & Life Safety, Building Automation and Healthcare Technologies, was struggling with a Windows‑based video recorder whose archive drives frequently filled up, forcing technicians to log in multiple times a day to manage storage. After moving away from Labtech, Convergint trialed the Pulseway client (Pulseway Enterprise) to get user‑friendly remote monitoring and instant alerts.
Pulseway deployed the Pulseway Enterprise client on about 48 machines (mostly customer video servers), monitoring CPU, memory, storage, Windows services and ping to cameras, and providing phone alerts and remote desktop access. The solution let Convergint detect power/Internet outages, dead cameras and stopped services in real time, cancel a six‑license GoToMyPC subscription (significant cost savings), offer Pulseway as a billable service that covers the yearly cost, and retain roughly 35 client licenses for new installs—reducing manual checks and downtime.
