Baloise Insurance Builds Secure and Flexible Network Infrastructure to Support Business Transformation

Baloise Insurance, a Belgian arm of the European insurance group, moved into a new Antwerp building and adopted open-plan, collaborative working that included space for independent broker partners. Needing to bring IT back in-house after prior outsourcing, the company faced a challenge to deliver a secure, scalable and easy-to-manage network that would support mobile and partner access while enabling future growth.

Working with SecureLink, Baloise deployed a Juniper and Pulse Secure solution — EX4200 switches (Virtual Chassis), SRX firewalls, MX80 routing for MPLS, Pulse Connect/Policy/Appliance, and wireless controllers/APs — to provide centralized management, policy-driven access control and seamless wireless/mobile connectivity. The result was a flexible, future-proof network that supports 1,400 users and partners, tightened security for authenticated devices, simplified administration and rapid, outage-free deployments.
