A Pulsara Case Study
St. Bernards Medical Center, a regional STEMI referral center in Northeast Arkansas, sought better coordination of heart-attack transfers and responses despite already achieving strong door-to-balloon performance. To improve communication across EMS, non-PCI hospitals, and in-house teams, St. Bernards selected Pulsara’s mobile healthcare communication platform to unify notifications and case coordination.
Pulsara replaced phone calls and faxes with a single secure channel that enables instant ECG sharing, real-time guidance to transferring facilities and EMS, and end-to-end tracking of STEMI activations. As a result, St. Bernards maintained average D2B times below 45 minutes, reduced ED door-in/door-out times at referring hospitals, strengthened relationships with EMS and partners, and consistently earned the American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Mission: Lifeline recognition.
