Australia’s Latrobe Regional Hospital Improves Door-to-CT Times by 68% with Pulsara

Latrobe Regional Health, a major teaching hospital east of Melbourne, faced fragmented, inefficient communication—relying on phone calls and pagers that often missed patient details and delayed coordination between Ambulance Victoria, the ED, and specialty teams. To centralize and speed information flow, they adopted Pulsara’s mobile communication platform.

Pulsara was rolled out across ambulance partners and clinical teams (ED, cardiology, stroke, mental health) and expanded to most staff within six months, enabling ambulance crews to open cases, pre-register patients, and push vitals and ETA directly to the right responders. The result: door-to-CT times improved from 22 minutes to about 7 minutes (a 68% reduction), quicker, safer mental-health and COVID responses, and stronger regional coordination using Pulsara.
