A Pulsara Case Study
Baptist Health Medical Center - North Little Rock, a 225-bed primary stroke center in Arkansas, faced delays and fragmentation when communicating about incoming stroke patients and arranging large-vessel occlusion (LVO) transfers using a phone-based system. To address unreliable pre-alerts and time-consuming call chains, the hospital adopted Pulsara’s mobile healthcare communication platform to centralize patient information and team communication.
Pulsara provided a unified patient channel that lets EMS pre-alert staff with demographics, photos, meds, and scan results (via RAPID AI integration), and enables the Access Center to coordinate transfers more efficiently. After implementing Pulsara in June 2023 and ramping up staff education, Baptist Health Medical Center - North Little Rock cut average door‑in‑door‑out transfer time from 163.5 minutes to 94.5 minutes — a 42% decrease — while improving clinician response and transfer coordination.
