Social Check-up the Top 20 Pharma Companies on Social Media

The Social Check-up, working with vendor Pulsar Platform, wanted to understand how the world’s top 20 pharma companies were using social media and whether their content was actually engaging audiences. Using Pulsar CORE, they analyzed corporate social activity across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to assess content mix, audience behavior, and the balance between created and curated posts.

Pulsar Platform helped The Social Check-up uncover clear patterns in pharma social performance, including that 90% of tweets were original content, link posts made up 38% of posts, and disease awareness was the most common topic at 29%. The analysis also showed that engagement was stronger for videos and corporate/CSR content than for disease awareness posts, giving the customer actionable insight into how to improve targeting, content strategy, and audience engagement.
