Pulsant Private Cloud platform boosts Visualsoft’s exponential growth

Visualsoft, a dedicated ecommerce provider creating award‑winning sites for hundreds of retailers, faced rapid exponential growth and needed a flexible, secure infrastructure to scale through seasonal peaks while maintaining consistent performance. In 2011 Visualsoft migrated its IT to Pulsant’s Private Cloud to gain competitively priced capacity, automatic load balancing and improved failover.

Pulsant delivered a tailored Private Cloud solution, later moving Visualsoft to a dedicated SAN (the first Pulsant customer to do so) and rolling out a CDN (Level 3) for key clients; these changes removed IOPS bottlenecks, boosted site responsiveness and resilience, reduced costs and increased operational efficiency—enabling Visualsoft to support more than 1,043 live websites and in excess of 200 million transactions a year.
