A Pulsant Case Study
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an annual music and entertainment event staged on Edinburgh Castle’s Esplanade that draws 220,000 visitors each August and is televised to more than 100 million viewers worldwide. To manage intense seasonal demand and mission‑critical ticketing and production systems, the Tattoo has relied on Pulsant for the last 15 years to supply network connectivity (fibre, Ethernet First Mile and ADSL links), cloud services and security via Pulsant Protect.
Pulsant hosts the Tattoo’s website on its Enterprise Cloud platform, monitors capacity to handle ticket‑sale spikes, and supplies managed connectivity between the main office, a temporary back‑up office and the venue, plus support during the June–September peak. As a result, Pulsant has kept the site available during high‑traffic periods, supported production and VIP connectivity, and is enabling the Tattoo’s next digital steps—including a planned live stream and website refresh to expand its digital reach.
