IDE, a managed IT services provider, faced a challenge with its single-fed power environment at the Maidenhead data centre, which hosted approximately 30 of its own customers. Partnering with Pulsant, IDE needed to upgrade this infrastructure to offer true B feeds, thereby improving business resilience and providing greater peace of mind for its clients.

Pulsant implemented a solution by upgrading all single power feeds onto a new infrastructure in the Maidenhead facility, providing dual independent power feeds for each customer footprint. This significantly reduced the chances of a power outage. The upgrade resulted in approximately 300 racks benefiting from improved resilience and helped IDE accommodate changing market requirements, leading to further sales of rack space.
