Electronics giant Wolfson selects Pulsant protection in Edinburgh

Wolfson Microelectronics, a global leader in mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, needed reliable connectivity and a robust, secure disaster-recovery facility within close proximity to its Edinburgh headquarters to satisfy business continuity requirements. To meet these needs the company engaged Pulsant for metro Ethernet, ultra-fast internet and colocation services at Pulsant’s Newbridge datacentre.

Pulsant delivered metro Ethernet and high‑speed internet and now hosts Wolfson’s disaster‑recovery infrastructure in its Tier 3 Newbridge facility, with Wolfson’s equipment housed across three colocation racks supported by Pulsant’s 10 GB network, ISO 27001 controls and 24‑hour onsite support. The solution has given Wolfson a well‑managed internet connection and a resilient DR host, mitigating risk and enabling growth—the DR model has been run from Newbridge for five years and the partnership has continued for more than eight years.
