Case Study: Commsworld achieves improved Scottish connectivity and local cloud performance with Pulsant

A Pulsant Case Study

Preview of the Commsworld Case Study

Commsworld and Pulsant deliver better connectivity and cloud to Scotland

Commsworld, Scotland’s leading telecommunications network provider with a national footprint of 35 PoPs, needed to expand and take direct control of connectivity between Edinburgh and Glasgow to better serve enterprise customers that operate across both cities. To avoid leasing capacity from large telcos and to improve service reliability, Commsworld relied on Pulsant’s colocation and datacentre services as the partner for this expansion.

Commsworld purchased dark fibre and built a self‑maintained, 100% owned network running into Pulsant’s Edinburgh South Gyle datacentre and a Glasgow site, using Pulsant colocation to house and connect its infrastructure. The result, delivered with Pulsant, is faster, more secure and highly available local connectivity to cloud services, a presence in almost every Scottish Pulsant datacentre (including connections in all three buildings at South Gyle and Newbridge), and a smoother cloud experience for customers while enabling further joint growth.
