King County - Customer Case Study

King County, Washington, faced a challenge in ensuring equitable and accessible public engagement for its highly diverse population, where nearly 30% of residents speak a non-English language. To tackle this, the county used PublicInput community engagement software for its Lake Swimming Beaches Survey initiative, aiming to gather inclusive multilingual input.

Using PublicInput, King County launched the survey in ten languages and utilized custom URLs to segment and track participants by their language preference for future outreach. This solution successfully engaged over 1,400 residents, providing the data needed to improve the Beach Water Testing Project. PublicInput enabled the county to increase its reach, save time with participant segmentation, and develop validated community insights to inform its public health initiatives.
