Case Study: Moray Council achieves seamless, transparent virtual council meetings with Public-i's Connect Remote

A Public-i Case Study

Using Connect Remote for Council meetings Moray Council

Moray Council, a long-time webcasting customer, needed to keep meetings transparent after Covid-19 forced in-person committees to stop — their Emergency Cabinet teleconference was laborious and not visible to the public. Public-i invited the council to trial its new Connect Remote platform to webcast virtual meetings and Moray became one of the earliest adopters in Scotland.

Public-i’s Connect Remote was implemented quickly with a test meeting and two training sessions; the vendor supported the council during onboarding and troubleshooting. The solution has allowed four successful virtual meetings so far, with a Full Council of all 26 Councillors scheduled, positive feedback from members and officers, two staff moderators now managing meetings and chat (instead of one), and practical steps like providing PCs for members with poor broadband — demonstrating improved transparency and smoother meeting management.
