Dublin City Council, a long-time user of Public-i’s live streaming service Connect, was experiencing delays and interruptions in council meetings because speakers were unsure how long they had to speak. The unclear audio/timing setup was lengthening proceedings and reducing meeting efficiency.

Public-i designed, sourced and installed a bespoke traffic-light timing system with a large digital display visible across the Council Chamber, introduced in September. The new system made speaking time clear, reduced interruptions and overruns, and has significantly improved meeting efficiency—an outcome Public-i’s solution has been praised for as “a huge success.”
