Case Study: City of Wolverhampton achieves seamless hybrid council meetings with Public-i

City of Wolverhampton - Customer Case Study

City of Wolverhampton Council, which had used Public-i since 2017 to webcast full council meetings, needed to introduce hybrid meeting capability during the COVID-19 pandemic. The council wanted an AV solution that would integrate its existing webcast setup in the Council Chamber with remote participants via Microsoft Teams and deliver a hybrid full council meeting in September 2020.

Public-i conducted a site survey, provided COVID risk assessments, and installed a hybrid AV solution, sending engineers, an account manager and a sound technician to tune audio and resolve historic issues. The system was tested thoroughly and was operational in time for the full council meeting on 16 September 2020, delivering seamless webcasting, improved sound quality, minimal training overhead and a clear path to future‑proofing the council’s meeting rooms.
