Smooth transition to electric trucks with PTV Route Optimiser

TSN Groen, a Netherlands-based delivery company, needed to adapt its transport planning after shifting to a more sustainable operation with half of its 120-truck fleet becoming fully electric. The company had to balance route efficiency with EV range limitations and battery use while maintaining a high level of service, using PTV Group’s PTV Route Optimiser.

PTV Group implemented PTV Route Optimiser to create vehicle profiles for diesel and electric trucks, automate route planning, and improve delivery reliability. The software helped TSN Groen optimize mixed-fleet planning, cut route planning time, reduce human error, and handle 1,500–2,000 shipments per day, while keeping more than 95% of shipments within the agreed time window and enabling a move toward a tighter one-hour delivery window.
