A PTC Case Study
Müller Martini, the Swiss manufacturer of postpress and printing systems, needed to upgrade its CAD environment to PTC Creo 2.0 and migrate roughly two million records into PTC Windchill PDMLink to enable company-wide product data management. The scale of the change across multiple sites created a large training burden—more than 200 Word documents and several hundred man‑hours would normally have been required to retrain the design organization—so Müller Martini sought a more efficient approach from PTC.
PTC delivered the PTC University eLearning solution (with support from a local Authorized Training Partner), replacing most instructor‑led Creo courses and reducing on‑site training for the new PDM to a half‑day. The rollout went smoothly: users adopted PTC Creo faster, found it easier to operate (notably simulation functions), and the effort to update company training documentation was cut in half—saving hundreds of man‑hours—while eLearning’s on‑demand and testing capabilities are expected to reduce data errors and manual corrections during future migrations.
