A PTC Case Study
Kontec, founded in Saarbrücken in 1997, is a construction planning and manufacturing specialist focused on tooling, assembly technology and automation. To expand its service portfolio, increase order volume and ensure that custom automation designs integrate seamlessly into customers’ CAD environments, Kontec adopted solutions from PTC — notably PTC Creo.
PTC implemented PTC Creo for tool, device and transfer-technology construction, including measuring/testing device design and kinematic simulation to catch errors early. As a result, Kontec achieved at least 40% time savings from native-format implementation and database migration, roughly 20% overall time savings from bidirectional associative dimension modifications, and about 30% reduction in rework time thanks to in-design simulation capabilities from PTC.
