J&P Building Systems - Customer Case Study

J&P Building Systems, a supplier of standard and bespoke construction products, faced challenges around manual spreadsheet work, error-prone checks, and the need to clearly communicate engineering calculations to clients and regulators. To address these issues they standardized on PTC’s PTC Mathcad, integrating calculation data with their CAD workflows to reduce manual entry and improve clarity and traceability of engineering work.

PTC implemented a solution where PTC Mathcad documents are used directly alongside CAD, letting engineers collapse or expand calculation detail, enforce unit and logic checks, and reduce inputs through programmed solutions. As a result, J&P converted its spreadsheet library to PTC Mathcad, cutting manual data entry by up to 50%, tightening control over input data with automatic checks, and enabling faster, more robust and detailed design recommendations for clients.
