Case Study: Endress+Hauser Maulburg achieves greater design standardization and reuse with PTC University (PTC)

A PTC Case Study

Preview of the Endress+Hauser Maulburg Case Study

Endress+Hauser realizes higher level of standardization and design reuse thanks to PTC® University

Endress+Hauser Maulburg, the competence center for industrial pressure and level measurement within the Endress+Hauser group, faced inconsistent CAD model quality across Mechanical Development, Design Modifications and Drafting teams that caused extra work and slowed down downstream processes. With a long history using PTC Pro/ENGINEER®, the company engaged PTC through PTC University to standardize modeling methods and improve design reuse.

PTC University used its Expert Model Analysis (XMA) tool and user interviews to identify weaknesses, then worked with Endress+Hauser Maulburg to define standardized model/drawing structures, special design rules, and a tailored Precision Learning Program of 20 half-day workshops (users attended an average of six workshops). The PTC-led initiative increased standardization and design reuse, reduced rework for draftsmen, was positively received by users, and set the stage for automated checks with PTC Creo ModelCHECK; PTC will re-analyze model quality to quantify improvements.
