A PTC Case Study
Delux Mfg. Co., a Nebraska-based maker of continuous-flow grain dryers serving North America and beyond, needed to accelerate development, reduce costly rework, and improve communication of BOMs and digital documentation with partners, assemblers and dealers. To meet those goals they turned to PTC and its Creo product suite to modernize CAD, CAM and assembly workflows and support more innovative equipment options.
PTC implemented Creo (including Creo Parametric with NC Sheetmetal and Advanced Assembly extensions) to validate changes before prototyping, generate CAD-to-CAM data for fabricators, and produce visualizations and assembly instructions; ThingWorx and other PTC tools supported IoT features. As a result, Delux introduced breakthroughs like self-cleaning and screenless dryers plus mobile remote monitoring, cut about $15,000 per prototype, saved hundreds of partner hours, and shortened product design time by 50% with Creo 2.0.
