BRITAX Creates Life-Saving Designs with PTC Creo

BRITAX, the long‑established maker of strollers, infant carriers and car seats, needed to design products that deliver life‑saving protection across varied crash scenarios while also meeting ever‑changing safety regulations, being easy for caregivers to install, and staying stylish. To accelerate development and validate complex part geometry and safety features early in the cycle, BRITAX adopted PTC’s Creo (with Windchill for data management) for 3D modeling, simulation and collaborative product development.

Using PTC Creo, BRITAX moved to top‑down 3D design, advanced surfacing and early mechanical simulation so teams and suppliers could iterate faster and use test data to refine models before physical testing. The result was the FRONTIER 90 and PINNACLE 90 Combination Harness‑2‑Booster seats featuring innovations like ClickTight™, SafeCell Technology® and True Side Impact Protection®; these models meet and exceed regulations, produced early sales and strong reviews, and demonstrated measurably faster, safer product development enabled by PTC.
