AWM Yields 30% Annual Growth By Designing with PTC Creo

American Wave Machines designs and manufactures surf pools and wave systems, but needed to simplify complex BOMs, improve sales visualizations, speed product development from design to purchase order, and prevent costly design mistakes. To address these challenges the company worked with PTC, adopting PTC Creo (and related PLM/IoT tools) to standardize designs, create variations, and produce high-fidelity renderings and simulations.

PTC implemented PTC Creo to consolidate product variations into a single BOM, deliver 3D renderings for marketing and sales, and use virtual prototyping (Creo Simulate) to catch flaws early. As a result AWM can take on 10+ custom projects per year, has attracted several large global customers from 3D visualizations, achieved roughly 30% annual sales growth, and avoided design errors that could cost $10,000–$50,000 per project—delivering higher quality and faster time-to-market thanks to PTC.
