Automation Design - Customer Case Study

Automation Design, a CAD engineering and modeling firm founded in 2001, needed to expand product offerings, enter new markets, and improve departmental efficiency while maintaining high-quality outputs with up-to-date technology. To achieve this, they turned to PTC and adopted the Creo suite—using Creo, Creo Simulate and Creo Schematics—to provide an easy-to-use, accurate CAD environment that supports multi-vendor data.

PTC implemented Creo to streamline design, simulation and routing workflows; Creo Simulate analyzes models in one environment and Creo Schematics simplifies 3D cable and pipe routing, while broad import capabilities keep pricing competitive. As a result, importing data into Creo is about 5 minutes faster per project versus Autodesk Inventor, the engineering department is completing work 10% faster overall, and day-to-day tasks are quicker thanks to the Creo ribbon and features—helping Automation Design boost efficiency and expand offerings.
