A-Z Formen- und Maschinenbau GmbH, a 75‑year leading supplier to the global tire industry with a 15,000 m² German production facility, needed to optimize workflows and better process complex customer geometry from multiple CAD systems (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX) while accelerating manufacturing data preparation. To meet these challenges the company partnered with PTC and adopted Creo and related tools to standardize CAD/CAM workflows and improve compatibility with customers’ data.

PTC upgraded A‑Z’s Pro/ENGINEER licenses to Creo, expanded seats, added the Creo Interactive Surface Design Extension, implemented integrated CAM for automatic toolpath creation, and delivered key‑user training. As a result A‑Z reduced development time through collaborative design, cut data‑processing time by 10% when using external CAD files, virtually eliminated translation/rework overhead for tool design, accelerated NC program creation, and achieved almost 50% fewer mouse clicks using the new Creo interface.
