Britax, a global maker of strollers, infant carriers, and car seats, needed to design child‑safety products that met increasingly stringent regulations while delivering superior side‑impact protection, ease of installation, comfort and attractive styling. To accelerate development and improve collaboration across design, testing and suppliers, Britax turned to PTC PLM and its PTC Creo/CAD and Windchill product lifecycle tools to embed performance requirements early in the concept stage and manage data throughout the process.

PTC PLM helped Britax adopt Creo 3D modeling, advanced surfacing, top‑down design and simulation so teams could iterate designs, share renderings with customers and suppliers, and feed physical test data back into digital models. The result was the successful FRONTIER 90 and PINNACLE 90 seats featuring innovations like ClickTight installation, SafeCell and True Side Impact Protection, faster incorporation of test and market feedback, early sales orders, strong reviews, and products that meet and in many cases exceed safety regulations.
