College IT Department Challenged with Reducing Paper Workload

Limestone College, a small four-year institution, faced ballooning paper records, limited storage space and a need to streamline student, housing and bursar record processing without adding staff. To meet strict simplicity and automation requirements — including integration with their Jenzabar student system and use by student work-study staff — the college selected solutions from PSIGEN Software, notably PSIGEN PSIcapture and PSIfusion, as part of a capture initiative.

Implemented via Sharp copiers with PSIcapture, PSIfusion and DocuPhase for routing and storage, the solution lets users scan at the MFP, auto-populate student data from Jenzabar and verify documents in the PSIfusion web queue. PSIGEN Software’s tools eliminated large-scale paper storage, sped day-forward processing, drove rapid user adoption across departments, and generated follow-up projects and expansion plans (finance, grading sheets and surveys) without adding headcount.
