Bonneville County, Idaho, faced an overload of paper records—especially in the Assessor’s office—while trying to leverage an investment in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 for parcel and departmental documents. To digitize, index and route documents into SharePoint with low administrative overhead and an easy end-user experience, the county turned to PSIGEN Software and its PSIcapture solution.

PSIGEN Software deployed multiple PSIcapture licenses with Canon and Fujitsu scanners (including Canon ScanFront 220 and a Fujitsu 6770) to read parcel data as metadata and automatically route indexed documents into SharePoint libraries. The PSIGEN implementation significantly reduced physical storage needs, made parcel records readily accessible from SharePoint, simplified scanning for staff, and has been expanded into the courts using auto-import and network scanning to speed document routing.
