A PSI True Talent Case Study
The Co-operative Group needed fresh graduate assessment exercises because its previous centre materials had become outdated and were circulating among students, making it harder to identify candidates against its leadership framework. PSI True Talent was brought in to design new, business-relevant exercises that would better reflect the Group’s ethical yet commercial culture and provide a realistic job preview for graduates.
PSI True Talent delivered two bespoke “day in the life” assessment exercises, supported by online job analysis, focus groups with managers, and review of leadership behaviours. The new exercises were tailored to measure leadership competencies more consistently, improving assessor agreement and producing more valid results, while also being completed ahead of schedule and fitting The Co-operative Group’s timelines.
