Royal Mail Group needed to equip 800 hiring managers with the confidence and competence to make better recruitment decisions, even though assessment was not a core part of their roles. To support this challenge, Royal Mail partnered with PSI True Talent to deliver a structured training and sign-off process that would improve assessment capability across the business.
PSI True Talent implemented a data-driven recruitment assessment program, starting with a detailed audit of manager confidence and knowledge, then designing two days of training based on the gaps identified. The solution included best-practice methods, reference materials, and a final competence test to determine sign-off or further support. The results were strong: over 99% said the assessment met its objective, more than 97% were satisfied with the training, over 600 managers were trained, and 81% were signed off to assess.
