GHH Fahrzeuge increases data and process quality with PSIpenta

GHH Fahrzeuge GmbH, a manufacturer of special vehicles for mining and tunnel construction, faced challenges in managing enormous data volumes from 90,000 active articles and 40,000 parts lists. Their manual, paper-based processes for data capture in warehousing and shipping were causing significant time delays and a high potential for input errors, jeopardizing production efficiency. They partnered with vendor PSI Software to implement the PSIpenta/ERP and MES solution to increase data quality and accelerate business processes.

PSI Software implemented its PSIpenta system, utilizing integrated industrial apps on scanners for real-time data capture, which virtually eliminated input errors. A key part of the solution was the establishment of a new production warehouse with a route-optimized system for material handling. The results included a massive increase in data quality, significantly improved information capability, and high user acceptance of the new system, allowing GHH to achieve greater transparency and efficiency just months after implementation.
